Arbor Achieves National Milestone in Montessori Excellence

Arbor Achieves National Milestone in Montessori Excellence
David M. Tyler, AP Coordinator

We are proud to share an exciting milestone for Arbor’s Adolescent Program—and for our entire school community.

Earlier this year, we welcomed a consultant for our first formal Montessori consultation at the adolescent level. While consultation has long been a cornerstone of Montessori programs in early childhood and elementary settings, it is a newly established process for adolescent programs, with formal recognition beginning only this year. The purpose of the visit was to take a thoughtful and comprehensive look at our program, ensuring it reflects the depth, integrity, and best practices of Montessori education for this unique stage of development.

We are delighted to announce that Arbor successfully passed this consultation.

With this achievement, Arbor becomes the first school in the country to hold formal AMI recognition at every level—from Toddler through Adolescent. This distinction affirms the care, intentionality, and professionalism that guide our work each day. It also ensures that our adolescent students are learning in an environment that meets rigorous international standards while remaining deeply responsive to their developmental needs.

This milestone is a testament to the strength of our community. We are grateful to our families for the trust you place in us, and to our dedicated Adolescent Program team, whose thoughtfulness, collaboration, and commitment made a lasting impression on the consultant.

It is a privilege to support and guide our remarkable adolescents during this important stage of their journey.
