Summer Camp
In 2025, Arbor will host Toddler and Primary Summer Camps at our Lavista Campus. The move will allow children more space, while introducing Scott Campus families to the Lavista Campus before the campuses are consolidated.
Toddler Summer Camp
Toddler Summer Camp is open to any child enrolled in an Arbor Toddler class for August 2025. Whether your child is new to Arbor’s Toddler program or a returning Toddler veteran, Toddler Summer camp provides children, ages 18 months to 2 ½ years, a consistent, fun experience that integrates the essential foundations of a Montessori education. Spaces are limited and are filled on a first come, first served basis. Registration opens on Friday, January 17th, 2025.
Primary Summer Camp
Primary Summer Camp is open to any child enrolled in an Arbor Primary class for August 2025. Arbor’s Primary Summer camp provides children, ages 2 ½ to 6 years, a fun, enriching experience that builds upon the skills learned during the school year, while offering parents maximum flexibility and convenience. A minimum number of 15 students must be enrolled for each session in order for it to be confirmed. Registration opens on Friday, January 17th, 2025.
Themes & Activities
Children at both levels will explore weekly themes and work on creative activities and crafts within the familiar surroundings of the prepared Toddler and Primary environments. Our trained Montessori guides and assistant teachers will provide a safe, consistent routine that encourages exploration, independence, and growth over the summer months.
While Primary and Toddler summer camps will explore similar themes for each session the lessons and activities will be developmentally appropriate for each level. A detailed weekly schedule will be provided to families so that they are aware of the activities and any needed appointments can be scheduled around our planned activities and crafts.
Registration
A separate Summer Camp Contract will need to be completed for each individual child. Payment/billing will be done through FACTS. Payment in full for all sessions registered for is required by April 30th, 2025. Billing questions should be directed to Stephanie Roberts, Arbor’s Bookkeeper, at stephanier@arbormontessori.org.

June 2nd – 6th: Ocean Adventures
Can’t make it to the beach this summer: no problem. Children will learn all about the amazing creatures that live in our oceans, get a chance to build sandcastles, and dig for seashells. We will have a busy week exploring the natural treasures of our oceans, coastlines, and beaches.
June 9th – 13th: Farm Friends
We will spend the week learning all about the types of animals you might find on a farm, The highlight of the week will be a visit from Ms. Cecilia and some of her rescued animal friends from her rescue sanctuary, Best Friends Farm.
June 16th – 20th (4-Day Week): Rocks & Minerals
Every rock tells a story. Understanding how rocks and minerals are formed makes the most ordinary rock seem extraordinary. Children will learn about the forces that create and form rocks and be introduced to the wonderful world of geology. Note: there will be no camp on Thursday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.
June 23rd – 27th: Budding Botanists
Learning to identify and appreciate all the parts of a plant is the first step for our budding botanists. The children will explore through hands-on activities how plants grow, how they interact with the environment, and the many ways humans use plants.
July 7th – 11th: Textile Exploration
Weaving, braiding, felting, sewing, crocheting, collage, yarn art: the possibilities are endless! Textiles have been a fundamental part of human life since the beginning of civilization. Exploring and learning about textiles allows us to travel the world without leaving home. No matter your child's age or skill level, we will have fun activities and crafts for every child!
July 14th – 18th: Amazing Pollinators
The summer months provide excellent opportunities to enjoy nature and explore our outdoor environments. Children will have fun as we observe and get to know the different pollinators that visit Arbor's gardens in summer. We will explore the different plants that attract pollinators and learn about the vital role they play in our lives, and why they're so amazing!
July 21st – 25th: Reptiles and Amphibians
Back by popular demand! In addition to reading stories, singing songs, and learning about the differences between reptiles and amphibians we have a scheduled visit from My Reptile Guys. This is a unique chance for children to experience reptiles in a controlled, safe, and up-close way.
If you have any questions about Summer Camp, please contact Anne Ledoux, Director of Auxiliary Programs, via email at annel@arbormontessori.org. Separate Summer Camp Contracts must be completed for each individual child. Payment and billing will be completed through FACTS.
